Turkey's Blowin' Up: Tanker 'Splosion Kills 14; Building Explodes

Casualties from the tanker explosion rose to 14 on Monday, after an initial six lives were claimed when a 16-ton LPG tanker exploded on the Gaziantep-Adana highway, the cause of the explosion is not yet known. Fourteen people were also injured, 6 of which are in serious condition. The explosion took place at around 2.30 p.m. Saturday, in the vicinity of Dölük Forest. The impact of the explosion stretched as far as 300 meters sq. One tanker, two minibuses and two automobiles passing by caught fire, with flames spreading into the forest.Gaziantep fire brigade arrived at the grounds shortly after.Cuma Karaku, Halil Gözübüyük, Yunus Can Vural, Metin Uçar, Özcan Akkol, Erdal Baygül, Mehmet Polat, Ferdi Akpnar, Hüseyin Ata, Ibrahim Karaolu, Ramazan K;nal, Adil Koçolu, Sait Develi haver lost their lives, and one body has not been identified yet.In critical condition after being Injured in the explosion are Oktay Balc, Cuma ahbudak, Irahim ahbudak, Mehmet Buru, Hasan Kocaolu, and Hüseyin Çeli.Two air ambulances belonging to the Army carried 12 of the injured to Ankara, for immediate treatment on burns.Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdan called Gaziantep governor Lütfullah Bilgin shortly after the event to receive information.On another news, an additional 18 people lost their lives in traffic accidents across the country yesterday.
